Penselwood is a village and parish in Somerset in England, four miles north east of Wincanton, four miles north west of Mere, and 6 miles north of Gillingham. The south east of the parish borders Zeals and Stourhead in Wiltshire, and Bourton in Dorset.

The village has 286 residents and 136 dwellings. The village has a church, Village Hall and Community Field. There is a Post Office, Shop and Garage one mile away in Zeals. In the village of Bourton which is also approximately a mile away there is a Post Office, Shop, Garage and Pub serving food.

The village is within a mile of the A303. There are railway stations in the nearby towns of Castle Cary and Gillingham.
